New Recreational Cannabis Dispensary Opens In Prospect Heights

CHICAGO (CBS) --A new cannabis dispensary had a ribbon cutting ceremony in the northwest suburbs.

Zen Leaf opened for business on Rand Road in Prospect Heights. It is the first dispensary for the suburb and the company's fifth in Illinois.

Zen Leaf" said it's going to bring in local tax revenue and provide more than 30 jobs in the community.

It was about a year ago that Illinois made recreational marijuana use legal for adults 21 and over.
