Humorous CTA Ads Want You To Know The Truth About Squirrels

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Some new print ads on CTA Red Line trains seek to inject a little humor into the lives of riders, reports WBBM's Mike Krauser.

One ad shows a picture of a squirrel and says, "FACT: No squirrel to the U.S. Supreme Court…yet. Stay vigilant humans."

Another says, "FACT: No squirrel has never, ever wished you a Happy Birthday. Like not even once. Probably because squirrels are inconsiderate, selfish monsters."

The "Vanessa" ads appear to be a plea from a guy who wants to get his girl back. One reads, "Vanessa, please take me back. I wear button down shirts now. It's a good look for me, I think."

Chicago comedian and writer Ben Larrison is behind the ads. The ads cost $4,000, which was financed entirely through a Kickstarter campaign.
