Boy, 15, shot and killed on Near West Side of Chicago
A 15-year-old boy was shot and killed Friday afternoon in the Little Italy neighborhood on the Near West Side of Chicago.
Police said, around 4:15, the boy was on the sidewalk in the 1300 block of West Grenshaw Street, when a vehicle pulled up alongside him, and someone inside shot him in the chest and right leg.
The victim was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No one was in custody Friday evening. Area 3 detectives were investigating.
