Naperville Student Organizes Benefit Concert For Hospital That Saved Dad's Life

(CBS) -- A Naperville North High School student is playing music to say "thanks" to doctors who saved her dad's life, reports WBBM's Terry Keshner.

Taylor Kroma's father suffered a medical crisis in February, but doctors at Edward's Hospital in Naperville were able to save him.

"So thankful he was given a second chance at life and I want to give back to the hospital and all that they do," said Kroma.

She organized the Healing Hearts with Harmonies concert at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Naperville North. The money raised will go to the hospital's cardiology fund and its healing arts program, which supports musicians who perform at the hospital or toward other equipment or technology the hospital needs.

"The idea is to fill a sense of hope within the community that anything is possible," said Kroma.
