Motorist Killed When Semi Truck, Vehicle Collide In South Suburbs

(CBS) -- A motorist was killed Wednesday afternoon when the vehicle she was driving collided with a semi-tractor-trailer truck near Sauk Village.
The incident occurred in northbound Route 394 at Sauk Trail Road, Illinois State Police said. A 28-year-old Chicago woman driving a Toyota made a sudden lane change and struck the large truck, according to a news release issued by the agency.
The truck ended up striking an abandoned building off the expressway. The driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene.
