Missing Fire Station Dog Has Returned

(CBS) -- Bull, the rescue dog who served as the mascot of a West Englewood fire station, has returned more than a month after he disappeared.

Chicago Fire Department officials said the canine was returned to Engine 116 on Thursday, appearing thinner but OK. The pooch went to the veterinarian's office as a precaution. No further information was immediately available.

In August, during shift change , he broke free and went missing.

"It's affected not just the firehouse and my family but the neighborhood also," Mike Sullivan, a firefighter at the West Englewood firehouse, told CBS 2 then.

Sullivan says don't let his appearance intimidate you. He's lovable and sweet as pie.
