Missing Chicago Man Found Dead In Hammond

HAMMOND, Ind. (CBS) -- A 60-year-old Chicago man who was reported missing from his Far South Side home has been found dead in northwest Indiana.

Donald Mosley was pronounced dead at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 3900 block of White Oak Avenue in Hammond, according to a statement from the Lake County coroner's office.

His cause and manner of death are pending investigation, according to the coroner's office. He lived in the 9900 block of South Perry in Chicago.

Mosley was last seen by friends Thursday near 78th and South Shore Drive, according to a missing person alert from Chicago Police.

The next day, his vehicle was found in East Chicago.

Chicago Police said Mosley frequented casino boats in northwest Indiana.

A Hammond police spokesman did not immediately respond to a request for information.
