$10K stolen from mini mart in North Center

Burglars stole $10,000 from a mini mart in Chicago's North Center neighborhood early Thursday morning.

Chicago police said officers responded to a call for a burglary at Lucky Mini Mart in the 4100 block of North Lincoln Avenue. The owner of the store said an ATM and a cash register were stolen during a break-in.

Police said multiple suspects wearing ski masks broke the front glass window of the store to get inside, then stole the ATM and other items. They sped off in a black SUV before officers got there.

Video from the scene shows debris and merchandise scattered throughout the entrance.

CPD said no one is currently in custody. An investigation by Area Three detectives is ongoing.
