Millennium Park Christmas Tree Arrives From Elmhurst

CHICAGO (CBS)--The Millennium Park Christmas tree is up and ready for lights and decorations.

The 60-foot tree arrived downtown around 7 p.m. Friday at in Millennium Park.

The Orth family's 60-foot Norway Spruce tree was chosen to be decorated and displayed in Millennium Park as the official Christmas tree for the city of Chicago in 2018. (Credit: CBS)

The 48-year-old Norway Spruce tree started its journey Thursday after getting chopped down in Elmhurst.

The tree's lights will be switched on on Nov. 16th.
