Metra Electric Trains Halted Due To Electrical Wire Problems Near 67th Street
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Service on the Metra Electric District has been halted near 67th Street on Friday afternoon due to electrical wire issues.
Metra officials said the crew on a Metra Electric train spotted smoke coming from the top of the train Friday afternoon near 67th Street, prompting them to evacuate the train.
Trains in both directions were halted after the incident, and at least one outbound and one inbound train run have been canceled.
