Mayor Rahm Emanuel Makes His Final City Hall Departure
CHICAGO (CBS)-- The corridors were lined by Mayor Rahm Emanuel's supporters and city workers as Emanuel made his ceremonial final departure from city hall.
After eight years in office, crowds cheered as a smiling Emanuel marked his last official day in office.
He shook the hands of police and supportive onlookers, dropping in a few high-fives and hugs along the way.
Thank you, Chicago for the opportunity to serve as Mayor these past 8 years. I am grateful for all we accomplished together, humbled by the faith you put in me, and in awe of the Chicagoans I have been lucky enough to meet and work with at every step on this journey. pic.twitter.com/yl5qZjU6Ay
