Man's Body Pulled From Chicago River

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A body was pulled from the Chicago River Tuesday morning near Lake Michigan.

The Chicago Police Marine Unit pulled the body of man from the river near Columbus and Wacker at 10:37 a.m., according to Chicago police and fire officials.

He has not yet been identified.

The person was dead at the scene, according to Fire Media.

The Cook County medical examiner's office couldn't immediately confirm the fatality.

Area Central detectives are conducting a death investigation.
