Man Wounded In North Lawndale Shooting

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot late Wednesday in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The man, 20, was standing on the sidewalk in the 1600 block of South Karlov Avenue about 11:20 p.m. when he heard gunfire and realized he'd been shot in the upper left back, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
