CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 24-year-old man was shot early Wednesday in the Logan Square neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

Shortly before 3 a.m., he was walking in the 2700 block of West Bloomingdale Avenue when a light-colored vehicle pulled up and someone with a gun got out and shot him in the armpit, police said.

The shooter got back in the vehicle, which took off north through an alley, police said.

The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
