Man Wounded In Belmont Cragin Shooting

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot late Tuesday in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The man, 26, was driving in the 5300 block of West Altgeld Street about 11:25 p.m. when he heard gunfire and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

He suffered a graze wound to the side of the head and drove himself to Community First Medical Center, where he was listed in good condition, police said.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member.
