Man Wounded In Austin Shooting

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot in the left arm Austin neighborhood on the West Side early Friday.

About 12:45 a.m., the 19-year-old was standing outside in the 4800 block of West Madison Street when he "heard shots and felt pain," police said.

A friend drove the man to Rush University Medical Center and he was later transferred to Stroger Hospital, police said. His condition had stabilized.
