Police: Man Killed, Woman Seriously Injured In Auburn Gresham Shooting

(STMW) -- A 26-year-old man was killed and a 62-year-old woman seriously wounded Wednesday afternoon in a shooting in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood on the South Side.

The shooting happened in the 7900 block of South Laflin about 2:50 p.m., according to Chicago Police.

Both victims suffered gunshot wounds to the head. The woman was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The Cook County medical examiner said investigators were notified of an incident at that location.
