Man Who Was Link In WBBM's "Unclaimed" Series Dies

(CBS) -- Services will be this Friday afternoon for a young Round Lake man who died last week - a man who was a link to WBBM's "Unclaimed" series five years ago, reports WBBM's Steve Miller.

Only 29-years-old, Justin Petrusaitis died last week. We spoke with him in 2009 about his father: a man he really never knew.

We were focusing on the unclaimed - the men and women who died and were buried at county expense because they'd drifted away from their families and friends.

Justin's father William froze to death in a park on Christmas Day 2008. He was 52.

It was Justin's maternal grandparents who raised him.

"My grandparents probably gave me every opportunity."

He told us his father had never bothered to call him.

"I don't know how you can have a child and turn your back on him."

Justin was a DJ and worked with Special Olympics.

And for him, tributes are pouring in on his Facebook page - and there is disbelief that he died so young.
