Man Struck With Metal Rod In Printers Row

CHICAGO (CBS)- A 48-year-old was attacked in Printers Row Saturday night.

According to Chicago police, the victim was battered by the offender in the 500 block of South LaSalle Street around 8:45 p.m.

Police said the victim was struck on the head and body with a metal rod, causing lacerations and bleeding.

The victim was transported to Cook County Hospital where his condition was stabilized.

The offender fled the scene. No arrests have been made.

Area Central detectives are investigating.
