Man Struck By Stray Bullet In Back Of The Yards Home

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 50-year-old man was critically wounded Tuesday night, when a stray bullet struck him in the head.

The man was in a second-floor bedroom inside his home in the 2100 block of West Garfield Boulevard, in the Back of the Yards neighborhood, when shots were fired outside around 10:50 p.m.

One of the bullets came through the bedroom window, and struck him in the head.

He was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, where he was listed in critical condition.

No one was in custody Wednesday morning.
