Man Stabbed Outside South Side Club

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was stabbed outside a club in the South Side Brighton Park neighborhood early Sunday.

The man, 28, was working at the club in the 4700 block of South Kedzie Avenue when he got into an argument with another person, police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said.

After the club closed about 2:30 a.m., the person the man fought with was waiting outside and stabbed him in the chest before running off, Gaines said.

The 28-year-old was taken in "stable" condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, Gaines said.

No one is in custody as Area Central detectives investigate.
