Man Slain In Drive-By Shooting In North Lawndale

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was killed in a drive-by shooting Wednesday night in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

Antonio Hobson, 34, was sitting in a garage in the 1800 block of South Fairfield Avenue about 9:45 p.m. when a car drove by and someone inside fired at him, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Hobson, of the 1600 block of South Komensky, was shot multiple times and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 11:45 p.m., authorities said.

Police said the man was a documented gang member.
