Man Shot To Death In Maywood
MAYWOOD, Ill. (STMW) -- A man was discovered shot to death Friday night in west suburban Maywood.
Officers responded to a call of shots fired at 4th and Fillmore about 10:50 p.m. and found 19-year-old Daijohn Danzy laying on the street in the 2100 block of 4th Avenue, according to a statement from Maywood police.
Danzy, who lived on the block where he was shot, was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:16 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
An autopsy performed Saturday ruled Danzy's death a homicide.
Maywood police Chief Vladimir Talley said Danzy was shot six times. The motive for the shooting is not yet known, and no weapon was found.
