Man Shot To Death In East Chicago
EAST CHICAGO, Ind. (STMW) -- An 18-year-old man was shot to death early Saturday in northwest Indiana.
Kemond Coleman was shot in the 3800 block of Alder Street in East Chicago, Ind., and pronounced dead at the scene at 3:50 a.m., according to a statement from the Lake County Coroner's office.
Coleman lived in the 2100 block of 169th Avenue in Hammond, according to the coroner's office.
A preliminary investigation ruled his death a homicide. An autopsy is scheduled for Saturday.
East Chicago police could not be reached for comment Saturday morning.
