Man Shot, Seriously Wounded In West Garfield Park

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot and seriously wounded early Tuesday in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on the West Side.

About 1:45 a.m., the 21-year-old was standing on a front porch in the 4300 block of West Wilcox when he heard gunfire and realized he'd been shot, according to Chicago Police.

He suffered gunshot wounds to his left arm and took himself to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in serious condition, police said.
