Man Shot, Seriously Hurt In Austin

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot and seriously injured Friday night in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

Officers responding to a call of a person shot about 8:20 p.m. found the 41-year-old man lying on the sidewalk in the 1400 block of North Leclaire Avenue, police said.

He was taken with a gunshot wound to the back to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in serious condition, police said.

No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
