Man Shot Near Navy Pier Now Faces Charges
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man who said he was shot Saturday now faces gun and felony charges.
Jimmie Moore, 22, now faces gun & felony charges for fabricating the story about being robbed & shot at Navy Pier, police said.

Moore claimed he was shot during a robbery less than a block from Navy Pier early Saturday. He actually shot himself, police discovered after investigation.

The man initially told investigators he was walking down the street in the 600 block of East Illinois when a suspect walked up with a handgun and announced a robbery, police said. The man told police he refused to comply with the suspect and then was shot in the leg.
He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where his condition was stabilized, police said.
