Man Shot In Woodlawn

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot Monday night in the Woodlawn neighborhood on the South Side.

About 10:40 p.m., the 19-year-old was standing on the sidewalk in the 6200 block of South Evans Avenue when a dark-colored car drove by and someone inside fired shots, police said.

He suffered gunshot wounds to the right buttocks and left thigh and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member.
