Man Shot In West Garfield Park

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was wounded in a West Garfield Park neighborhood shooting late Thursday.

About 11:30 p.m., the 26-year-old was walking in the 4000 block of West Monroe Street when he heard shots ring out and felt pain, police said.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital with several gunshot wounds to his leg, police said. His condition had stabilized.
