Man Shot In West Englewood

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side Tuesday night.

The 28-year-old was outside in the 6100 block of South Hermitage Avenue about 8:35 p.m. when he heard shots and realized he'd been struck, police said.

He was shot in the leg and transported himself to Saint Bernard Hospital and Health Care Center, police said. He was later transferred to Stroger Hospital in good condition.
