Man Shot In Washington Park

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man was shot early Wednesday during a robbery in the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side.

The 27-year-old told investigators he was outside at 12:51 a.m. in the 5700 block of South King Drive when someone walked up, pulled out a handgun and announced a robbery, according to Chicago Police.

The man ran away and the suspect fired shots, striking him in the hand, police said. He later walked into the University of Chicago Medical Cener, where he was listed in good condition.
