Man Shot In Uptown

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot early Tuesday in the Uptown neighborhood on the North Side.

The 22-year-old was in a vehicle in the 900 block of West Leland at 2:43 a.m. when another vehicle pulled up and someone inside fired shots at him, according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the head and neck and taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member.
