Man Shot In South Side Parking Lot

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was wounded in a shooting early Wednesday on the South Side.

The man, 20, was standing in a parking lot in the 100 block of West Garfield Boulevard about 3:25 a.m. when someone exited a dark-colored sedan, produced a handgun and shot at him, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.

He was taken to Provident Hospital of Cook County in good condition with a gunshot wound to his left arm, Alfaro said.

Area Central detectives are investigating.
