Man Shot In South Chicago

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 27-year-old man was shot in the back late Monday in the South Chicago neighborhood.

About 11:50 p.m., he was getting out of a vehicle in the 8200 block of South Muskegon Avenue when someone walked up and opened fire, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.

He was struck in the upper back and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, Alfaro said.
