Man Shot In Roseland

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot early Thursday in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.

The man, 18, was on the sidewalk in the 11100 block of South Edbrooke Avenue about 1:10 a.m. when he heard shots and felt pain to his buttocks, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.

He was taken to Roseland Community Hospital before being transferred to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stable, Greer said.

A police source said the man has gang affiliations.
