Man Shot In Greater Grand Crossing

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood Monday night.

The 20-year-old was shot about 7 p.m. while standing outside in he 7500 block of South Drexel Avenue, police said. A gray van pulled up and two people got out and opened fire, striking the man in the leg.

He took himself to the University of Chicago Medical Center, but was later transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said. His condition had stabilized.
