CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot while driving in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side Monday night.

About 10:25 p.m., the 28-year-old was stopped at a stoplight in the 7100 block of South Vincennes Avenue when a silver sedan pulled up alongside and the passenger opened fire, police said.

The man, shot in the shoulder, drove himself to Saint Bernard Hospital and Health Care Center, where his condition had stabilized, police said.
