Man Shot In Englewood

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 21-year-old man was shot in Englewood Wednesday night on the South Side.

He was riding as a passenger in a vehicle about 8:30 p.m. in the 5600 block of South May Street when someone started shooting from the sidewalk, according to Chicago Police.

The man, a documented gang member, was struck in the neck and cheek, and the driver dropped him off at Holy Cross Hospital, police said.

He later was transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition.
