Man Shot In Back Of Head In Gage Park

(STMW) -- A 26-year-old man was shot in the back of the head early Saturday in a Gage Park neighborhood drive-by attack on the Southwest Side.

He stopped his car at a light about 2:25 a.m. in the 2500 block of West 51st Street when an SUV pulled up and someone inside started yelling gang slogans and firing a gun, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.

The 26-year-old was struck in the head and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, Alfaro said.
