Man Shot During Robbery In Humboldt Park

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot during a robbery Sunday night in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side.

The 24-year-old man was working construction in the 4400 block of West Iowa Street about 10 p.m. when two males walked up and one of them pulled out a handgun, police said.

The males stole his cash and shot him in the buttocks, police said. He was taken in good condition to Stroger Hospital.

An ice cream truck could be seen with its lights flashing inside the crime scene tape after the shooting.
