Man Shot, Critically Wounded In Washington Park Robbery Attempt
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot in the head during an attempted robbery in the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side Wednesday night.
About 8:35 p.m., the 31-year-old was in the 5100 block of South Calumet Avenue when two males walked up and tried to rob him, police said. The man was then shot in the back of the head.
He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, police said.
