Man Shot And Killed In Roseland

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot to death in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side Monday night.

About 9:30 p.m., the 26-year-old was found with two gunshot wounds to the head in the 11300 block of South Forest Avenue, police said.

The man, identified as Valentino Taylor of the 1900 block of West Garfield Boulevard, was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 9:56 p.m., a representative for the Cook County Medical Examiner's office said.

Area South detectives are investigating.
