Man Shot And Killed In East Garfield Park

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 27-year-old man was shot and killed Monday night in the East Garfield Park neighborhood.

Seadl Commings was found in the street with a gunshot wound to the chest about 11:35 p.m. in the 800 block of South Central Park Avenue, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Commings, of the 3600 block of West Polk, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 12:14 a.m., authorities said.

Police added that the man is a documented gang member.
