Man Shot And Killed In Cragin

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man was killed in a shooting early Tuesday in the Cragin neighborhood on the Northwest Side, according to Chicago Police.

Officers responding to reports of a person down at 1:32 a.m. found the 51-year-old with a gunshot wound to his lower abdomen in the 2500 block of North Lavergne, police said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. The Cook County medical examiner's office could not immediately confirm the death.
