Man Shot After Argument On South Side

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 32-year-old man was shot Tuesday night after an argument at a South Side bar.

About 11:05 p.m., the man was at a bar in the 900 block of East 79th Street when he became involved in an argument with another male, who produced a handgun and shot him, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.

The man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition with a gunshot wound to his right hip, Alfaro said.

No one is in custody as Area South detectives investigate.
