Man Seriously Wounded In West Side Shooting

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot in his K-Town neighborhood home on the West Side Monday night.

The man, 38, was inside the home in the 4000 block of West 21st Place about 10:45 p.m. when another member of the household got a threatening phone call, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.

Shots rang out a short time later outside the home and a bullet came through the window frame and hit the man in the groin, Greer said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in serious condition, Greer said.

Multiple people are being questioned in relation to the shooting, Greer said.

Area Central detectives are investigating.
