Man Robs West Town Bank

(STMW) -- A man robbed who robbed a bank in the West Town neighborhood Friday afternoon is suspected of robbing another earlier this month, authorities said.

The heist, which the FBI described as a "non-takeover robbery," occurred about 4:45 p.m. at a PNC Bank at 2100 W. Chicago, according to spokeswoman Joan Hyde.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 30s standing between 5-foot-8 and 6 feet tall, according to the FBI. He wore glasses and a dark-colored coat, a brown scarf and a dark-colored hat. He also had a five o'clock shadow beard.

The same man is suspected of robbing a Chase Bank at 1959 W. Division, less than a mile away, on Dec. 12, according to the FBI.
