Man Robs Chinatown Bank

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A male robbed a U.S. Bank branch Monday morning in Chinatown.

The robber walked into the branch at 2131 S. China Pl. about 11:15 a.m. and handed the teller a note demanding money, according to the FBI and Chicago Police. He then left the scene with an undisclosed amount in cash.

He implied he had a weapon but did not show one, police said. No one was injured.

The robber is described as a 6-foot-4 black male with a thin build, the FBI said. He was last seen wearing black pants, a black hooded sweatshirt, a black puffy vest and black sunglasses.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact the FBI at (312) 421-6700.
