Man Robs Chase Bank On NW Side

CHICAGO (STMW) -- The FBI is investigating the robbery of a Chase bank Friday evening in the Irving Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

About 6:40 p.m., a man walked inside Chase bank, 3204 W. Irving Park Rd., implied he had a weapon and demanded money from the teller, according to police and the FBI.

He then ran out after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, according to the FBI. No one was hurt.

The suspect is described as a white man, 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-6, thought to be in his 40s, weighing between 180 and 200 pounds and has reddish-brown hair, authorities said. He was wearing reading glasses and a grey hooded sweatshirt.

No weapon was shown during the robbery, the FBI said.
