Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash On I-80/94 In Munster

MUNSTER, Ind. (STMW) -- A 36-year-old man is dead after his motorcycle crashed into a semi truck on Interstate 80/94 in Munster, Ind. Monday night.

Vonzell Griffin boarded the I-80/94 eastbound ramp from Calumet Avenue at 10:27 p.m., when he lost control and his motorcycle collided with a semi truck, according to Indiana State Police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Griffin, of Brunswick, Ind., was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County where he was pronounced dead at 12:55 a.m. Tuesday, the medical examiner's office said.

It was not immediately known early Tuesday if anyone else was injured or if any citations were issued in connection with the crash.
